Positive Behavior Intervention Support

At Mountain View a committee of teachers and staff have collaborated with administration to outline a year long plan called the Positive Behavior Intervention Support framework. With the guidance of the framework, MV students are introduced each month to a new character trait. They get to watch a read aloud video created by a staff member that helps explain the character trait. Then, kids are given the opportunity to discuss or write to a prompt that allows them to share their thinking around the character trait and two student thoughts from every class are displayed in the hallway for the month.
