MVE Garden Gets a Fresh Look!

Students Prep the School Garden for SUMMER!
Posted on 05/13/2019

Mountain View students went out to the school garden this week to prep it for summer, and of course to add to the veggie bar in the cafeteria this fall!

At the beginning of the week, students pulled weeds, and prepped the beds for new plants.  As the week progressed students planted marigolds, lavender, tomatoes, peas, jalapeños, cucumbers, basil and strawberries!

Some of the young plants were provided by our amazing PTO and some came from our tower garden, which allows kids to see the plant cycle all year.

We will update you in the fall, and tell you which plants are the most popular with the incoming Kindies, 1st graders and 2nd graders!
