There are THREE WAYS to get involved at Mountain View!

1. MVE/NE Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

The MVE/NE PTO is a joint organization between Mountain View Elementary and Northeast Elementary.  It is a volunteer organization whose main purpose is to create an open line of communication between parents and MVE & NE, while also organizing several fundraising opportunities throughout the academic year that directly support teachers' classrooms, student materials and larger school needs (STEAM, Library Books, etc).  They hold 5-6 meetings during the school year and offer childcare during meetings.

2.  Mountain View School Accountability Committee (SAC)

The MVE SAC exists to inform, encourage and provide opportunities for parent and community members to be involved in the planning and evaluation of the school's instructional program and quality improvement process.  The SAC typically meets the last Friday of the month from 11:30-1:00 & lunch is provided!
For more information, select the (SAC) link on the left of this page.

3.  Volunteer Opportunities in the Classroom

Mountain View is LOVES to have family members in the classrooms as volunteers.  Mountain View purchased the RAPTOR School Security System, which runs background checks of visitors to the school each time their arrive.  This system allows for the upmost safety of our students, when non-employed adults are in the building.
To volunteer in your child's classroom, you will get in contact with your child's teacher.  Usually, teachers will ask for volunteers at our Back-to-School Night (check the calendar for this year's date).
Additionally, the school will send out sign-up genius lists when specials teachers, office staff or other school employees have volunteer requests.  These requests will be send out to all families.
