Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS)

Positive Behavior Intervention Support

At Mountain View a committee of teachers and staff have collaborated with administration to outline a year long plan called the Positive Behavior Intervention Support framework. With the guidance of the framework, MV students are introduced each month to a new character trait. They get to watch a read aloud video created by a staff member that helps explain the character trait. Then, kids are given the opportunity to discuss or write to a prompt that allows them to share their thinking around the character trait and two student thoughts from every class are displayed in the hallway for the month. Please click the links below to learn more about our monthly topics. Within each parent letter you can also find links to the staff-created read aloud videos of the books scrolling to the right!
